The UK Data Service runs free introductory level training events to introduce different aspects of the UK Data Service.
They are running two free online workshops, open to all, to learn about research data management
First workshop
Data management basics: Introduction to data management and sharing

This first workshop provides an overview of how to manage, document, store and safeguard research data well and how to plan and implement good data management in research projects, with a focus on optimising data sharing

Second workshop
Data management basics: Ethical and legal issues in data sharing

The second workshop focuses on the ethical and legal aspects of data management.
Researchers obtaining data from people are expected to maintain high ethical standards and comply with the relevant legislation. Much research data – even sensitive data – can be shared ethically and legally.
